Sophia, You are one of a kind (the best kind!) You look at life through the eyes of an optimist, you have always accepted people for themselves, you are so caring and giving. I am very proud of the person you are - and blessed to be your grandmother! I love you most! xoxo grandma

Sophie, I read your article and even though I've never met you, I feel I know you a little bit. I'm a friend of your grandma Joanne. She's always told me what an amazing kid you were. Now I believe you are even more awesome because of your attitude through your dads fight with ALS. Like you said "life is not perfect", but I would say you & the love your family shares IS perfect!! You are an amazing young lady now. Keep finding the good things in life! XO Betsy

    Sophia Lange or "So" as we call her is our 13 year old daughter.  She wrote this essay for a Language Arts Project.  She is an amazing girl with an important perspective on ALS and life.  So is a truly kind person who has always put others before herself.  She is smart and beautiful and fills us with happiness.
